Heat exchanger station instead of hot water boiler

Investment volume reduced by almost 30

In our blog post from February 17, 2022, we already went into detail about the exact functionality and preferred design of Hagelschuer heat exchanger stations.
Today we want to focus on the specific savings and application possibilities, which we will illustrate using a customer example.

We recently planned a new process steam supply system for a customer in the meat industry.
The original plan was to use a separate hot water boiler toheat the process water.
In addition to the high investment costs for the additional boiler, further costs would have been incurred for installation, ongoing operation, wear parts, commissioning and the installation of an additional flue gas and chimney system.

By using a heat exch anger station instead of a hot water boiler, our project engineers were able to reduce the originally estimated investment volume by almost 30 %. The heat exchanger station now heats the service water to 100° C and feeds it into the hot water tank (intermediate storage tank).
It is then taken from there for cleaning purposes.
